Trustees discussed manufacturer differences—one chiller being a Trane unit and the other a Carrier—and clarified that only the Trane unit could receive the Sentravic trademark renewal while the Carrier unit required a rebuild with a shorter warranty period. A trustee explained the dollars did not change under the clarified amendment, only the warranty lengths: "For the Trane item, you get 7 years. For the Carrier item, you get 5 years." Board members said the work is cost‑effective compared with full replacement.
Trustee McStravick moved to amend the item to restate the warranty periods; the amendment carried unanimously. The amended motion to approve the renewals and rebuild, with the stated warranties and funding sources, then carried unanimously.
