Trust approves extension of parking license at 16 Vesper Lane for Nantucket Cottage Hospital through Oct. 31

At the June 3 meeting the Affordable Housing Trust voted to permit an extension of a license allowing Nantucket Cottage Hospital to use Trust land at 16 Vesper Lane as overflow staff parking through Oct. 31.
Christy Ferantella explained the request mirrors a similar arrangement approved last year and that the Trust—s recommended license would run through Oct. 31. She told members the parcel is currently under review in a request-for-proposals process for development and that the draft license must preserve the Trust—s and any eventual developer—s right to access the site; Ferantella said the hospital had agreed to that condition.
A motion to follow the housing office recommendation to approve the license extension was made by Meg Bowers and seconded by Abby De Molina. The roll-call vote recorded ayes from Brooke Moore, Meg Bowers, Penny Dye, Abby De Molina, Chantal Murphy and Brian Sullivan; the motion carried.
Christy Ferantella said she would work with Vicky Marsh to draft the license language and obtain town counsel—s approval for execution. No additional conditions were imposed by the Trust at the meeting.
