Staff clarified that the facility will keep electronic monitoring and that fire department connections and sprinkler responses remain in place; the removed allowance related to what staff described as above-and-beyond services previously considered unnecessary. Board members moved and approved the change order and authorized the mayor to sign on the board’s behalf.
Staff said the project continues toward completion, with furniture deliveries and a final punch list scheduled as construction closes out.
