In a brief presentation, Carrie Baird, chief executive officer, described organizational growth since the group’s 2014 founding, detailed a Flagler County Village that co‑locates multiple service providers under a “no wrong door” approach, and summarized recent service metrics: Flagler Cares reported serving 765 individuals in fiscal year 2023–24 with over 75% achieving successful outcomes, and already served 789 individuals in the first half of fiscal year 2024–25.
She also noted a regional merger with One Voice for Volusia that expands the organization’s reach and referenced the group’s role in a countywide coordinated opioid recovery program — which partners with Flagler County Fire Rescue and local treatment providers and staff said correlated with a drop in local opioid deaths from 42 in 2022 to 14 in 2024. Council offered congratulations; Baird and staff then posed for a commemorative photograph.
