The EDA voted to table proposed revisions to its mission statement until the next meeting and asked members to submit suggested language for group selection.
Staff reported that a full-page paid advertisement had already run in the Dayton Communicator; members decided to pause a separate $1,800 postcard mailer for now and rely on communicator copy until the EDA’s funding priorities are clearer. Staff warned that, depending on later spending decisions, EDA funds available for outreach could be limited.
The EDA also noted an impending vacancy: member Juan’s resignation will go to the City Council for acceptance, and the EDA will post the open position if the council accepts the resignation. If the council chooses, it may appoint a replacement to finish the term.
