Chamber seeks grants for permanent centennial art installation at Le Bourget Park

The chamber indicated it intends to develop a selection process (potentially an RFP) and to include eligibility and longevity standards so artists consider materials and maintenance. Council members requested community input on design choices and expressed a desire to avoid installing public art that clashes with the site’s character.
The chamber will continue to identify grant opportunities and work with staff on next steps; no formal city funding commitment or permit approvals were made at the May 19 discussion.
