EDA forwards utility-damage inventory to City Council and recommends consultant study
Summary

The Dayton Economic Development Authority voted to refer a proposal to inventory and address damaged utility boxes to the City Council and recommended that Stantec perform the inventory using an intern if the council approves funding.
Staff said the effort requires more staff time than the EDA can provide and that Stantec could supply an intern to compile the inventory, noting there would be costs associated with that work. EDA members agreed the council should decide whether to fund the inventory.
A motion to forward the item to the council passed by voice vote. The EDA recorded the directive as a referral request and instructed staff to place the item on the council’s agenda for direction.
