The Little Falls City Council on June 2 approved staff’s recommendation to contract with CivicPlus for the city’s municipal website, at an annual cost of $6,246 and a one-time implementation fee of $2,000.
Alex told the council the city’s existing website contract runs through November 2025 and that staff believes the current provider cannot meet upcoming accessibility requirements. Alex said staff reviewed CivicPlus, Municipal Impact and Munibiz and recommended CivicPlus based on usability, customization, and the platform’s capacity to help market community properties, including industrial-park parcels.
Council members asked whether other software used by the police department (described as “Oracle” in the meeting) would be affected; Alex said the police systems are separate. Mayor Zilka moved to approve the CivicPlus contract and Council Member Glaze seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Staff said implementation and marketing work will begin after the busy summer season, with the goal of completing the transition prior to the current contract’s November expiration.
