The Wabasha County Board on June 3 approved a conditional‑use permit to transfer one dwelling density from a parcel in Section 19 to a receiving parcel in Section 30, Greenfield Township. The planning commission had recommended approval with three conditions: record a deed restriction prohibiting construction on the origin parcel, record seven acres of deed restriction on the receiving parcel prior to building, and limit the approved density transfer to one dwelling unit.
Planning staff summarized the request and recommended the board follow the planning commission’s 5‑0 recommendation. Commissioner Wabi moved to approve the CUP and Commissioner Waukes seconded; the motion passed on a voice vote.
The county will require the deed restriction documents to be recorded before building permits may be issued for the receiving parcel.
