Hubbard County EDA staff reported progress on plans to split and sell housing parcels in Farden Township but said key steps remain before any lots can be marketed.
Staff said the EDA is working with Matt Murray Consulting to prepare parcel splits and materials for the county planning commission. “He is gonna be bringing, hopefully bringing that plan to the planning commission for the June meeting,” a staff member said, but added the agency has not yet received the deed, which could delay the schedule.
The staff update said a septic assessment for the parcels is complete and a wetland delineation remains outstanding. Proposed sale terms under discussion would require owner‑occupied housing with a minimum dwelling size (staff mentioned a 960‑square‑foot minimum in draft language) and a build‑out timeline; details such as the minimum bid price and the precise construction completion standard have not been set and were described as unresolved. The staff member emphasized that no action was required at the meeting and that the planning commission must still review parcel splits and the proposal before lots can be offered for sale.
Discussion vs. decision: the item was an update only; no formal board action was taken. Staff said additional information and deed transfer are required before the parcels can be advertised or sold.
