The committee approved a progress payment to SLR Consulting (packet pages 43–44) as part of an engineering study funded by ARPA; the chair said the total PO is shown in the packet. Multiple contractor invoices for catch‑basin work and associated payments were approved; members asked who will ensure ongoing maintenance and were told the mapping and digital system will be used to record and check maintenance events.
Why it matters: Improved mapping and replacement of catch basins is intended to reduce local flooding and improve stormwater management across West Haven. Committee members flagged long‑standing problems where basins had been obscured by landscaping and thus not maintained.
