Select Board members said the road is in the town right-of-way and that posting signs is within town jurisdiction, but they wanted clearer specificity about the section to be posted before adopting a motion. One select member made a motion to post Pine Road between GenTech and PR Russell’s property line; another asked the board to specify the exact feet or limits. The maker withdrew the motion and the board asked Planning Department staff (Mr. Kennedy) to perform a site measurement and return with a precise plan to ratify signs already placed.
Board members said the signs and possible barriers are intended to prevent recurring damage to overhead lines and impacts to multiple nearby buildings when lines come down.
