Parcel‑tax oversight committee reports $2.0 million in Measure LC parcel tax revenue for 2024–25; board accepts report

The La Canada Unified School District’s Parcel Tax Oversight Committee presented its annual report for the 2024–25 tax year and recommended the board accept the report. Committee chair Katherine Margraff reviewed expenditures and found that parcel tax proceeds were allocated to academic programs, classroom staffing, specialist teachers and updated technology consistent with the ballot language authorizing Measure LC.
The committee reported estimated parcel tax revenue for 2024–25 of about $2,000,724.47, based on a $501.56 assessment on 5,432 parcels. Margraff said the committee examined district expenditures and county auditor‑controller records and concluded that spending in 2024–25 aligned with the parcel tax purposes stated in Resolution 6‑19‑20.
Board members praised the committee’s diligence and thanked district staff for cooperation in responding to requests. The board accepted the report by motion and thanked the volunteers for their oversight.
