The Manteno Village Board approved an amended employment agreement that separates the duties and salaries for the village administrator and the director of building and zoning.
At the previous meeting trustees asked staff to draft a revised agreement separating the positions in the employment contract for Chris LaRocque, and the draft circulated to trustees included distinct job duties, salary lines, and termination benefits for each role. "I separated out the salaries, the positions, the duties, and the benefits that accrue upon termination," LaRocque said when presenting the change.
The amendment to the administrator's contract was placed on the consent agenda and approved by omnibus vote. No trustee requested the item be pulled for separate discussion during the meeting.
Ending: The amended contract was approved as presented; trustees did not provide additional public details about any negotiation terms beyond those included in the circulated amendment.
