The Verona Planning Commission on June 2 voted to recommend that the common council approve a certified survey map to modify two lots at 811 and 821 Mark Drive.
Planning staff told the commission the property was part of a subdivision in 2001 that created three lots and that a duplex was built nearby in 2002. Staff said a previous re-subdivision in 2005 did not lead to development on the two remaining lots. Mr. Severson said the modification addresses a 20-foot utility easement on one lot and “will provide more equal distribution of buildable land between the two lots,” and staff recommended approval of the CSM as submitted.
Commissioner Swanson moved that the commission recommend the common council approve the certified survey map for Lot 1, consisting of 0.85 acres located at 821 Mark Drive, and Lot 2, consisting of 0.602 acres located at 811 Mark Drive. Commissioner Powers seconded the motion. The commission approved the recommendation and Mr. Severson said the item “will be on the council agenda on Monday.”
The commission’s action was a recommendation to the common council; final approval of the certified survey map will be at the council meeting.
