Round Lake Area School District officials told the board on June 2, 2025, that their existing board-book software (Diligent) will be replaced by a new platform from the same vendor called Diligent Community, and the board approved a one-year contract beginning July 1, 2025, costing $14,500.
District staff said Diligent will migrate existing board materials to the new system during an initial transition period and provide live training and self-paced tutorials. The vendor will perform the migration; district staff said they expect a roughly 90-day timeline from contract start to full access and training availability.
The motion to approve the Diligent Community contract for $14,500 was made by Miss Klingler, seconded by Miss Lee, and passed by roll call vote. Staff noted the vendor’s annual price increase will be 5% per year under the recommended contract.
Administrators said the new platform offers meeting alerts for community members and features that address deficiencies the district had found in its previous social media/agenda workflow; staff recommended the contract after presenting the item to the finance committee earlier.
