During public comment at the Port Hueneme City Council meeting, resident Nicole Lantyne described repeated loud, late‑night gatherings near her home involving multiple vehicles, vehicle repairs in the street and speakers so loud the windows were shaking. She said the noise regularly wakes her 2‑year‑old child and that she and her husband had repeatedly reported incidents to the Port Hueneme Police Department without a lasting resolution.
“I’ve talked to these neighbors repeatedly,” Lantyne told the council. “This has become concerning for my husband and I because we have a 2‑year‑old child who is regularly woken up by this pounding bass.”
City Manager Vega told the resident that council could not discuss non‑agendized public comments at the meeting but that a city team member would follow up on the complaint. The council did not take action at the meeting; staff follow‑up was promised.
