On June 2 the Planning and Economic Development Committee voted to approve Resolution 37‑R‑25 and forward the resolution to the board meeting that night, asking the village to take no action on a Boone County zoning application for a solar energy facility of 1 megawatt or greater.
Staff said the application concerns a site at the northeast end of the village, south of Route 173, and that the proposed use would be adjacent to commercial and industrial zoning and uses. After review staff concluded the application would not impact village residents within 1.5 miles and recommended the village take no action on the county application. Staff attached the Boone County notice and the draft resolution to its report and asked the board to vote that night to meet Boone County’s timetable.
With no questions, the committee voted in favor; the resolution will be transmitted to the village board for the night meeting.
