On June 2 the Planning and Economic Development Committee recommended forwarding Ordinance 19‑25 to the June 16 village board with a positive recommendation to permit a reduced rear yard setback for a residence at 7860 Nestling Lake Eagle Street.
Staff said the house backs up to vacant land and a water tower and that the homeowner wants to add an addition that would sit 20 feet from the rear property boundary instead of the required 30 feet. Staff and the planning and zoning commission recommended approval of the variance to allow the reduced setback.
No applicant appeared for public remarks and committee members raised no questions. Trustee Bailey moved the recommendation, seconded by Missus Miller; the motion carried unanimously. The committee’s recommendation goes to the June 16 board meeting for final action.
