Town receives clean audit for fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024
Summary

Caballero Feuerman partner Andrew Feuerman presented the town’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2024, and delivered a clean (unmodified) opinion.
“In our opinion, the financial statements referred to above present fairly in all material respects the financial position of the town as of 09/30/2024,” Feuerman said, summarizing the audit firm’s opinion. He told council the audit included management’s discussion and analysis, fund financial statements and required disclosures and that the auditors found no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses in internal control.
Feuerman pointed out the town’s unassigned general fund balance was about $1.1 million at Sept. 30, 2024, and recommended that readers review the management discussion and notes for context. He thanked finance staff and the town manager for cooperation during the audit.
Council’s FACT committee and staff had earlier reviewed the draft report; council voted to receive and file the audit during the meeting.
Ending: The auditor said routine follow‑ups will be handled through staff; the council received the report and directed staff to post the document online and circulate the management discussion and analysis to the public.
