The Greensville County Board of Supervisors named Tony Caldwell to serve on the Virginia Gateway Region Board of Directors and reappointed Lauren Allen and Tamika Woodley to the county’s community criminal justice board.
A county staff member explained the Virginia Gateway Region replaces the Virginia Growth Alliance and will provide a broader regional platform for economic development. The staff member said the regional board meets every other month on even months on the first Thursday at 8 a.m. in Petersburg.
The board nominated and voted to appoint Tony Caldwell to the Virginia Gateway Region board. The board also moved to reappoint Lauren Allen and Tamika Woodley to the community criminal justice board; both reappointments were approved by roll call.
