Council unanimously approves consent items, state‑contract Silverado purchase and auditor contract

Rector Sacevich presented a new-vehicle purchase under the FY25 capital budget: a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 crew cab service truck from Hardee Chevrolet using state contract SPD0000155. Councilman Dorito moved to approve the purchase not to exceed $80,268 and Councilman Brady seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Director Harris presented the recommended award of request-for-proposals 25-114 for financial auditing services to Malden and Jenkins. Harris said the RFP evaluation uses qualifications as well as price; the selected firm outscored competitors and was second-lowest in price with only a small annual differential. Councilman Brady moved to award the contract and authorize the mayor to execute documents; Councilman Dorito seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve the award.
No members of the public spoke on the consent agenda, the Silverado purchase or the auditing-contract award.
Staff said procurement and contract execution will proceed under the terms approved by council and that any required contract documents will return to the mayor’s office for signature as authorized at the meeting.
