The Missouri Senate heard committee reports recommending advancement of three bills during a short session, with no floor votes taken before adjournment.
Senator Burns Ketter, chair of the Fiscal Oversight Committee, read his committee's report and said, "your committee on fiscal oversight to which was referred Senate Bill 3 begs leave to report that it is considered the same and recommends that the senate committee substitute here to attach do pass." He also reported the committee "to which was referred Senate Bill 4, begs leave to report that it is considered the same and recommends that the bill do pass."
Senator Hough, chair of the Appropriations Committee, read his committee's report and said, "your committee on appropriations to which was referred Senate Bill 1 begs leave to report that it is considered the same and recommends that the bill do pass." Those readings were entered into the Senate record as committee recommendations.
The statements were procedural committee reports; the transcript contains no record of final floor votes on those bills during this session. After the reports and a brief set of announcements, the senator identified in the record as the "Senator from Platt" moved to adjourn and the Senate stood adjourned under the rules.
The committee reports advance the named bills in the legislative process by placing the committees' recommendations on the Senate record; the transcript does not specify subsequent calendar placement or any amendments to the bills beyond the committee substitute recommendation for Senate Bill 3.
