City staff explained the transfer does not increase the 2025 budget and was prompted after Parks leadership determined the golf course could be managed without the previously budgeted assistant manager position; the funds will instead support seasonal temporary staffing. A staff member said the change “will allow him to staff it the way he needs to, but we can save the benefit dollars, and he can still stay on budget for the golf course.”
Councilmembers voted on the resolution by roll call; the recorded votes were: Patrick Tavanau — yes; Carla Kratz — yes; Lucy Dottillo — yes; Josh Schafer — yes; Joel Storm — yes; Jim Bartlett — yes. Councilmember Josh Wilbur was absent. The motion passed.
