The Board of Public Works and Safety voted June 2 to approve a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) rehabilitation grant application for 611 West Second Street in downtown Madison.
Brenda Haley, representing the PACE program, told the board the application requests $7,500 to fund window replacement, tuckpointing and repainting of brickwork. She said the request follows an earlier plan to transfer funds from a previously approved 75 percent allocation and that this item formalizes the application.
A board member moved to approve the application “for PACE Grama in the amount of $7,500 as presented”; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Board members praised the property and said historic-preservation work supports downtown quality of life.
The action authorizes staff to proceed with the grant award and to work with the property owner on the specified exterior rehabilitation work.
