Peoria County board members approved a resolution formalizing the administrator's annual evaluation and the related appointment agreement, including a previously discussed bonus payment.
The resolution was placed on the floor after a motion and second from board members. Member Duncan moved to put the item on the floor and Member Blair seconded the motion, the chair said. Member Blair said the evaluation subcommittee had met with Administrator Sorrell and discussed his performance.
After brief thanks from Administrator Sorrell and no additional public comment, the chair called for the vote. "All those in favor, please vote. Eyes have it," the chair said, indicating the motion carried by voice vote.
The resolution authorizes the evaluation record and the appointment agreement that reflects the subcommittee's recommendation. Financial details and bonus payment mechanics will be processed through the county's routine payroll and budget procedures, staff said; the board did not take separate, additional action on the finance mechanics during the meeting.
