Gardner City Council approves two secondhand dealer licenses

Councilor Craig Cormier reported that the public safety committee met on both items and discussed them with the chief of police and the city clerk. “They’re in good standing with both, and they’re a long standing business,” Councilor Cormier said regarding Gardner Coins and Cards and moved to approve that application. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
For the Hopeful Boutique application, Councilor Cormier said the committee found the business “in good standing with both the police chief and the tax roll of city clerk” and moved to approve. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Both approvals were reported as committee recommendations to the full council and were acted on the same evening. The meeting record does not include a roll‑call breakdown of votes; both motions passed by voice vote.
