The DuPage County Public Works Committee on June 3 approved a series of contracts and renewals for Public Works and Facilities Management, covering equipment purchases, maintenance services and professional services.
Approvals recorded during the meeting included: a contract to Nationwide All LLC for one stainless-steel tape trailer for Public Works for a period Jun. 10, 2025, to Nov. 30, 2025, not to exceed $93,142; a contract to Ashland Door Solutions LLC for door maintenance, sales and installation for July 19, 2025, through July 18, 2026, not to exceed $45,000; a contract to Ashland Door Lock and Security Solutions for locksmith services from July 19, 2025, through July 18, 2026, not to exceed $25,000; a contract with the City of Wheaton for fire alarm monitoring services from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, not to exceed $21,420; and an award to Carbon Solutions Group for SREC participation producing approximately $177,494.56 in credits for the period Jun. 10, 2025, to Nov. 2041.
The committee also approved a sole-source contract for enterprise subscription services for Bluebeam and Citizens Access and Civic Platforms (used by building and zoning, public works, stormwater and transportation) for the period Jun. 23, 2025, through Jun. 22, 2029, for a total not to exceed $1,144,575; staff described this as a sole-source procurement for platform continuity.
Earlier in the meeting the committee approved a short extension of the Sheffield Safety contract through Jun. 24, 2025, to maintain a safety program manager and allow time to issue an RFP for the next contract cycle. Committee members said the Sheffield Safety contract has delivered loss-prevention services, training and audits for several departments and helped reduce employee injuries.
All contract motions were moved and seconded and approved by voice vote; the meeting record shows "all in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries" for each item.
