DuPage County approves three intergovernmental agreements with Westmont for detention naturalization projects

The DuPage County Stormwater Management Committee voted on June 3 to approve three intergovernmental agreements with the Village of Westmont to support detention basin naturalization projects.
Chair Zay read the agenda items and Member DeSart moved to approve SMR6-25, the intergovernmental agreement between DuPage County and the Village of Westmont for the North Adams Street Detention Naturalization Project from June 10, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with county support not to exceed $14,750. Member Evans seconded the motion. The committee approved the agreement by voice vote.
The committee next approved SMR7-25, for the 3927 North Lincoln Detention Naturalization Project from June 10, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with county support not to exceed $5,865. Member Evans moved and Member Handelbaum seconded; the motion carried.
The third agreement, SMR8-5, covers the 328 South LaMet Avenue Detention Naturalization Project from June 10, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with county support not to exceed $14,230. The motion was moved by Member Ribbons and seconded by Member DeSart; the committee approved the agreement.
The items were presented as part of the department’s water quality grant program; staff did not provide extended discussion at the meeting beyond the project descriptions and funding caps. The committee voted on each item individually and recorded motions and seconds before approving each agreement by voice vote.
