Union County Public Schools finance staff told the finance committee in June 2025 that the district has shifted the go-live date for its new finance software to allow more time for data migration and process design.
“We have shifted our go live date, we're working on our new timelines. We're working through a lot of our new processes,” Miss McLean, finance staff, said. She said the vendor has loaded district data, including the vendor file and payroll information, and staff are vetting that data so a sandbox environment can open for parallel testing.
Staff described data migration as the major hurdle. “That was the hurdle we couldn't get over was the migration piece,” a committee participant said; Miss McLean confirmed the team had made progress and expected to begin hands-on testing in July once verification work is complete.
Miss McLean said the delay has given staff time to document cross-department workflows and tighten gaps before full implementation. Committee members asked how the project was progressing; staff said the next milestone is sandbox testing once the vendor completes data verification.
No new timeline specific dates were provided in the recorded discussion; Miss McLean said she would present a more detailed timeline in July.
