North Penn School District finance committee recommended placing the proposed 2025–26 general fund budget — reflecting a 4% millage increase and a total appropriation of $348,735,000 — on the board's June 18 action meeting agenda.
The recommendation, made during the finance committee meeting, brings the draft budget forward for the full board’s consideration but does not adopt the budget. The treasurer and CFO noted there have been “no meaningful changes to the budget since the last time we proposed it.”
Committee members moved and seconded the recommendation; the motion carried by voice vote. Committee members thanked district staff for preparing the budget materials. The student representative provided no finance-related changes and described upcoming school events but did not speak to the budget proposal.
The finance committee will revisit final adoption and any adjustments at the board action meeting. The committee also set its next finance meetings for July 8 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 5.
