Clinton County commissioners approved a service agreement June 3 to hire an interim public health administrator while the department recruits a permanent replacement.

In her remarks she said she has local family ties and a long record of health-care administration; she accepted the interim assignment in order to provide continuity while the department seeks a full-time administrator.
Commissioners said they had checked references and that the hire provides time to find a permanent administrator. The motion to approve the service agreement carried 3-0.
The contract will be signed after the meeting and the interim administrator will begin working with the health department and Board of Health while recruitment is underway.
