County staff told commissioners a proposed lease for two rooms (Rooms 405 and 406) at the Guilford Mills facility to house Department of Juvenile Justice probation officers will be forwarded to the board for formal consideration on June 16 after county attorneys complete their review.
County Manager Scott Whitaker said the packet included a lease proposal and a facility diagram and that the actual lease had been reviewed by the county attorney since the packet was prepared. He told the board there is a statute requiring counties to provide office space for probation officers performing a state function and described this lease as a continuation of existing arrangements.
No vote occurred; staff will circulate the final lease to commissioners after attorney review and bring the item back for action at the June 16 meeting.
