Hoffman Estates’ Public Works and Utilities Committee approved a contract with Kluber Architects and Engineers for a public‑works space needs study not to exceed $45,350.
Staff said both public‑works properties are inside a TIF district and the village needs options should the current uses change; the study will analyze current and future operations, equipment and staffing to estimate acreage needed for public‑works operations. Public‑works and planning staff reviewed five proposals, interviewed three firms and recommended Kluber based on experience and reference checks.
The committee approved the award by motion with no nays recorded. Staff said the study is the first step in a larger evaluation that could inform future capital planning and site selection work.
