IT staff told trustees the new multi‑lens cameras allowed the village to reduce the overall camera count while expanding coverage.
Staff said the PACE quote was the lowest of five proposals and about $65,000 below retail pricing; PACE originally designed and installed the village’s system and has provided ongoing support. Committee members moved and seconded the purchase and recorded no opposition.
The contract is for hardware and mounting only; licensing, configuration and installation coordination were discussed but not priced in the packet. Installation sequencing and any licensing costs will be addressed by departments as the rollout proceeds.
