Board approves routine contracts and adjourns after brief reports

The Solanco School District board approved a series of routine contracts and reports during its June 2 meeting and closed with calendar reminders for graduation and the start of school.
Items approved by voice vote included the Richard J. Kern Foundation SAP contract, the EdInsight agreement, an extended-year special-education placement at Royer Greaves, HVAC change orders, the Tom Josiah accounting-services agreement, the Murray Insurance premium proposal and the Quayhanna agreement. The personnel report was also approved. During the meeting the board excused a member (Kirk Crider) for the night by voice vote.
Staff reminded the board and public of upcoming dates: the district’s graduation on June 6, the general business meeting on June 16, and the board’s August schedule, including the first day of school on Aug. 25, 2025. The meeting adjourned after a previously announced executive session for personnel matters.
