On June 2 the Solanco School District board approved an accounting-services agreement with Tom Josiah, capped at $16,500, to assist with audit preparation and the comprehensive annual financial report.
Staff told the board Josiah has assisted for about five years and helps reduce workload for the tax office and the financial report process. "His proposal for 25‑26 is for an amount not to exceed 16,500, which is just a slight increase from the prior year," a district presenter said.
Board members approved the agreement by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The district clarified this service is accounting and financial reporting support, not tax collection handled by Lancaster County.
