The La Porte City Board of Works on Tuesday approved a fleet-management partnership with Enterprise and authorized two new police pursuit vehicles and a citywide WEX fuel-card policy.
Nathaniel "Nate" Berg, an Enterprise representative, told the board the program pairs municipalities with Enterprise to centralize buying, maintenance, fuel management and vehicle resale. "Enterprise puts a proactive and strategic approach on fleet management for municipalities," Berg said. Board members voted to approve the partnership and to accept the quote for two police vehicles and associated upfitting.
