Town staff said the agreement is intended to cover unexpected absences (sickness, bereavement, training, inventory) and not regular scheduled closures, and that any change would require agreement by the other participating offices.
Board members agreed it would be useful to evaluate whether an amendment could extend coverage to scheduled closed days and asked staff to approach the partner plantations; they noted the partner offices would have to consent to any change. The board voted to proceed with the agreement as written and directed staff to follow up with the plantations about possible amendments.
