Administrators and the student ex officio highlighted Starpoint’s top 10 seniors during the meeting. Dr. Ingram introduced a video celebrating the top 10 students and presented brief biographies for each student, listing honors, activities and future plans.
The board recognized each top-10 student by name and noted academic and extracurricular honors from athletics to theater. Meadow Berube — the student ex officio board member — was honored for her year of service; she told the board she was “so incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity … to be on the board” and said the experience will help her as she prepares for college.
Administrators listed the top-10 students in rank order and summarized honors and college plans for each: among those named were Tim Lukasik, Maddie Schmidt, Peyton Trimble, Annabelle Pecalut, Anna Muzinski, Chloe Cooney, Ryan Carroll, Meadow Berube, Megan Melville and Sofia Walazewski. Dr. Ingram described the top-10 tradition as a recognition of sustained academic achievement and dedication.
The board and attending staff offered congratulations and noted graduation was forthcoming; Dr. Ingram reminded the group that commencement was a few weeks away and thanked staff and families for supporting students’ accomplishments.
