Kensington board grants superintendent summer hiring authority and accepts Lisa Vendala's resignation

Separately, the board accepted the resignation of Lisa Vendala. The district reported the position has been posted and that eight applicants have applied for that vacancy so far. District staff said the Vendala position is a priority to fill and the superintendent’s office intends to begin screening and scheduling interviews as soon as possible.
Board members noted there are additional professional positions that will need hiring attention; the meeting record referenced “three para/professional positions” in the near term. The board did not identify final interview dates or name selected candidates during the public session.
