Taylor Morrison withdraws Creekstone petition after sewer issues, staff says

Taylor Morrison of Indiana formally requested that the Creekstone primary development petition (PC2025F015) be withdrawn from the Greenwood Advisory Planning Commission agenda, city planning staff said May 28, after the developer determined the proposed sewer system would not work for the project.
The withdrawal matters because it ends the current application process for Creekstone; the developer may revise the proposal and submit a different project later. Staff told the commission no vote was required on the withdrawn petition.
“We had worked with this project for some time … PC2025F015. Unfortunately, they were not able to make the sewer system work for this project, and they are going to relook at this project,” Mr. Nelson, a planning staff member, said while explaining the withdrawal. He said the applicant had asked that the petition be formally withdrawn and that staff closed out the petition; no commission action was required.
The staff memo identified Paul Claire, vice president of land acquisition and development for Taylor Morrison of Indiana, as the company representative who requested the withdrawal. Nelson said the developer will review the project and may return with a different proposal at a future meeting.
Because the petition was withdrawn before a commission vote, the commission took no formal action and there were no conditions attached to the withdrawal. Staff will notify the commission and interested parties if and when a revised application is submitted.
