Board previews five contracts including transportation providers and college facility lease

At the June 2 meeting Mr. Callahan presented five items the board will consider for action at its next meeting, including transportation contracts, a property lease, an IT services agreement and a community college facilities rental.
Callahan said the superintendent recommends an agreement with Auxilio Services Inc. to provide and manage people‑transportation for field trips at $78 per hour plus $0.90 per mile with a three‑hour minimum when vehicles are available. He also said the district recommends an agreement with Rightway Transportation for athletic and general student field trips at $85 per hour.
Callahan described a proposed lease with Norfolk Southern Railway Company for real property located at Mile Post B 189.7, described in the draft as a six‑year term. The draft lease dates in the presentation contain an apparent typographical error for the contract end date; Mr. Callahan did not read a corrected end date on the record and the board will consider the final lease language at the subsequent meeting.
Callahan said a proposed three‑year agreement with Connect would lock in core services fees at no increase for the contract term; core services listed include Munis Financial ERP subscription, internet services, data center infrastructure and cybersecurity, with additional services for Infinite Campus and IEP Anywhere Plus.
Finally, Callahan said the board is being asked to approve a facilities use agreement with Cuyahoga Community College for its Tri‑C Aspire program. The college would rent two classrooms (rooms 104 and 106), a reception area and designated office space at the Taft Center for Innovation for one year from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 billed quarterly at $7,500 per quarter for a total of $30,000.
These items were presented as proposals for the board’s consideration at a future meeting; no votes were taken on June 2.
