Council approves resolution to contract with Munireg for vacant and foreclosed-property registration

The Riverside City Council on Monday approved Resolution 25-R-3032 authorizing a professional-services agreement with Munireg to provide vacant and foreclosed property registration services.
City staff said the previous vendor unexpectedly terminated the service more than a year ago and staff have been performing the work in-house. Ms. Holt told council the city issued an RFP and received a single bid from Munireg, an Ohio-based company. She said staff reviewed demonstrations, contacted references and found the vendor "very responsive" with a user-friendly platform and regular reporting. "We do recommend moving forward with their contract," Holt said.
Councilmember Lomax moved approval and the deputy mayor seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote. No council member registered opposition during the meeting.
Ending: The city manager said the contract will be executed and staff will transition administration of the registration service to Munireg under the terms authorized by the resolution.
