Board asks staff to make meeting notices and agendas easier to find on district website

One member asked staff to add a clear “submit feedback/materials” link so members of the public can provide materials directly to board members. Staff replied they would work with the web team to create an accessible placement and to design a parent-facing link or form for questions, comments or materials.
Staff said the district currently notifies via newspaper, an email list for those who sign up for notices, and via BoardDocs; the policy revision under discussion would allow the district to meet the changed law by posting notices on the website once the policy is approved. Board members asked staff to ensure agendas and any voting items that require public notice are attached where practicable (for example, to School Advisory Council notices), and to add agenda attachments to school web pages where possible. No vote was taken at the workshop; staff reported they will implement the website placement and return with a plan.
