Commissioners approve engineering additions for courthouse chiller project, interlocal transit agreement and a conservancy board appointment

The Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners on June 2 approved several administrative and facilities items: an expanded engineering scope for the county chiller project, a change order for construction management, an interlocal transit cooperation agreement and an appointment to a local conservancy board.
County staff presented a change to HEAPY Engineering’s scope for the courthouse chiller project to add Curry Home. The board approved the change request totaling $77,300 for engineering and field observation work. Commissioners then approved a change order for Tekton (construction management) that carried no additional cost.
The board also approved an interlocal cooperative agreement allowing CityBus to provide extended services into Carroll County; county staff said this agreement matched arrangements already used with surrounding counties. Finally, the board appointed Timothy Schooler to a vacant position on the Battleground Conservancy District board.
All items passed on voice vote during the meeting.
