The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted June 3 to set a public hearing for 10 a.m. June 24 on Jackson County Ordinance No. 03.17, a rezoning request recommended for the board by the zoning commission.
Becky (zoning/board packet presenter) told the board the zoning commission met May 19 and recommended forwarding the Tyler Zipper parcel (as recorded in the commission referral) to the board for rezoning consideration. She confirmed that surrounding landowners had been notified during the zoning commission process; the action taken at the supervisors’ meeting was to set the formal public hearing date and time so additional notice can be sent under county procedure.
A motion to set the public hearing for June 24 at 10 a.m. carried unanimously.
