The Spalding County Board of Commissioners on June 2 approved a request, under county policy, to allow the Macon Tracks Bridal Club to use an out-of-state motor coach to travel to Wetumpka, Alabama, on Aug. 14.
A county staff member presented the request and explained the county brings such out-of-state travel requests to the board when a county-owned motor coach will cross state lines. The motion to approve carried by a 5-0 voice vote.
No costs, insurance details, or passenger counts were read into the public record during the meeting; the presentation at the earlier workshop included the trip destination and date.
