Board adopts CSBG bylaws to create tri-partite oversight board, asks staff to return with appointments

County staff member Larry Wallace presented the bylaws at the workshop earlier in the day; the board adopted them in the regular session by a 5-0 vote. After the vote a commissioner asked staff to return in June with three candidates for the tri-partite committee for formal appointment; Mr. Wallace was asked to assist in identifying one candidate.
The resolution creates a tri-partite oversight structure to provide governance and oversight of CSBG-funded programs in the county. The board did not discuss specific proposed members or disclose the names of the individuals to be considered; the next county meeting will include candidate names for appointment.
