The committee discussed rental costs incurred to date (rent and associated fees) and the prospect of buying the existing rental trailer, a used unit the vendor priced at about $47,000; more economical single‑bathroom options were available for roughly $36,000.
Commissioners directed staff to investigate whether the rented unit has a permanent water and sewer hookup, whether the rental company provides pump‑outs or sewer disposal services, and what it would cost to install permanent hookups on site if the county purchases a trailer. A motion to continue the item to July and return with answers on hookup status, current disposal arrangements and cost estimates for purchase or hookup passed the committee. The committee did not approve purchasing a trailer at the June 2 meeting.
